Access to the MLS for Investors in Northern Nevada

Hello,

If there is another post has already answered this question please point me to it. I didn't see one so I thought I would ask.

In Nevada do you need to be a REALTOR (certified) to have access to the MLS or just state licensed? If you don't intend to actually offer services to other individuals as an agent or broker but rather just plan to use it for yourself as an investor, what is the legitimate and respectable way to go about getting access to the MLS?

I'm more than willing to take classes and get licensed, but I have no intent of practicing as an actual realtor since I have a W2-job-career-path. Are there any legal or ethical issues to be mindful as an investor that does have access to the MLS?

Thanks BP colleagues!

-Wes

@Jean G.

Here in Southern Nevada they also grant different types of access for Appraisers and maybe even inspection companies.  I suggest you call and try the front door approach first.  We also have pretty much full access at: http://homelasvegas.com/ and here's a list of options as well: http://www.lasvegasrealtor.com/mls/

BEST LUCK!
