An HDHP with an HSA has a handful of great benefits:  you still get healthcare, 'though with the high deductible you may pay a bit more initially for a year's worth of routine work out of pocket. 

The ones that haven't been selling either are priced too high or have some fairly intensive rehab futures ahead of them. 

Look into that if the VA construction loan or the 203k doesn’t work out.

Doesn't quite work out to be a wash because CA usually has higher tax rates so if you earned $2,000 in SC you probably paid a much lower rate... say $50 in taxes but in CA the tax on $2,000 is probably more like $180, but you would only get a credit for $50 so CA still essentially taxes that $2,000 in some fashion. 

Or is it better to work out something where I get a bird dog (finder's) fee?

Go hit some golf balls. take a long walk, work out with Zoomba or whatever it takes. 

I did have a virtual assistant making calls on expired listings for me but that didn't work out so I'm making calls myself for the moment. 

You can get a deal on the MLS now that could work out for you!

Not sure what the intensions of the buyers were, but probably they were buying lots with no value to me.   

Accept it and do nothing, evict, or work out some sort of deal.
