I tell all my soldiers to buy a 2-4 unit with the VA loan and live for free.

However, as a Soldier, I took great pride not in individual accomplishment, but in sharing accomplishments with others.  

Many, too many, soldiers buy single family homes in Killeen because they are talked into doing it using their VA loan.  

To maximize the value for the soldiers and families is such a needed thing.

My thoughts on this, would be to look at it from the same point of view as a soldier in the military who is looking to invest in properties.  

From one soldier to another..........keep educating yourself through this site, find a few local investors in your area and meet up for coffee/beer to network with, start analyzing deals now!

The employment driver in the area is the Fort Hood military base -- however, I assume most soldiers would rather live on base than rent apartments, so tenants may simply work on base or in surrounding town@Josh Green A property that is a good investment including management costs is a requirement for me.

One of my lease option tenant/buyers informed me today that he will be moving to Korea in 3 weeks per his Army orders and referenced the soldiers sailors act as a way to break his lease.I understand that I must let him out of the lease without penalty but need to know what about the lease option fee?
