I'm not an expert, but I don't think an individual proclaiming 3 caged pit bulls as emotional support animals is the equivalent of a legitimate service animal that a handicapped individual may need for daily functioning.Is it legal to ask for documentation of evidence of these being service animals?

The evidence you should rely on is obtaining the doctor or other medical professional’s advice that the individual needs the animal for daily function.
