House hacking is by far the best strategy to get started in my opinion and much easier if you are younger without children (not that it can't be done but a little more sacrifice required).

How nice was the furniture, bedding, amenities? 

Most people cannot picture furniture layout and scale of an empty room.  

I know I always suggest to clients selling their home to leave the furniture in if they can.

My question is for the furniture that is in the house and clothes and anything else that could be donated does anyone recommend a company that comes out to do site pickups.
