Congrats on discovering this new passion.

the biggest disadvantage of being a real estate agent is ....... if you have an aspiring career or motivation/passion in other fields, you may not utilize your time for your biggest passion. 

I just talk about my real estate passion all the time and it catches people's attention.I'm able to get private money at these rates because of my experience and because I'm getting hard money at 7-9%; it doesn't make sense to pay more for private money than hard money (although there are exceptions). 

New here to BiggerPockets and real estate investing but eager to get going in my new found passion.

I think it shows a lot of my passion and confidence in the things I'm doing for me and my clients by taking massive leaps of faith and action such as quitting my w-2 engineering career (had a master's) and up and moving thousands of miles away to make it a reality for me and others to achieve FI through REI.
