I read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad' which peaked my interest on real estate investing and here I am.

@Roy N.Indeed, those were some horrendous times to try and borrow money - although if you were cash rich and wanted to buy bonds I guess you were pretty darn happy :-)It's a healthy reminder to be conservative when projecting and to not over extend!

I currently invest right next to Wauwatosa "Tosa" as the city of is a bit rich for my blood.

So far I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Millionaire Real Estate Investor, and The Book on Investing with No Money Down.  

We started listening the BP, Landlord University, and even read Rich Dad, Poor Dad (omg.)

You can do a similar search for Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and it might be worth a day trip to attend, or at least call the club leader."

@Nick Britton Yes I have read the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad a year or so ago.

Not a bad return.Remember, this is not a get rich quick scheme.
