Now your schedule has been moved twice and it makes your painter weary about your timelines on this job and he has a backlog of business already so he moves the big project he had scheduled after you up because it's going to pay well and when your job is ready he sends the skeleton crew out with some new guy that creates more problems than he is fixing.

If your plumber is behind schedule, that means your drywall guy can't close up the walls, the painter can't paint them and the finish carpenter can't put up the crown moldings.That one delay can push your project back for weeks.

At the other house the painter who was repainting the entire house saw the job the carpet cleaners did and said he never saw anybody clean carpets that well in his 20 years in business and asked for the company name so they could do his personal residence.

When you find a good vendor be they painter, plumber attorney or realtor - ask them who they use for their needs.  

Good contractor could do everything in a more timely manner then doing piece by piece, reason being, painters for example, can use a sprayer and do all the units in a fraction of the time.
