I also speak fairly decent Spanish for a gringo (I understand a whole lot more than I can speak)Long story short, what I lack in experience, I make up for with connections and ability to do targeted and meaningful research.

Typically less experienced sponsors have more investor-favored fees/splits because of the higher operational risk (inexperience) and then have more sponsor-favorable terms as they accumulate a track record of delivering (and over-delivering) returns. 

Compare that to a family who is looking to do their first remodel for a home they plan to move into and there are tighter budgets, emotions, and inexperience to deal with.

Scale is easier to achieve, and one of the main advantages of single family houses, inexperience, does not apply to you.

What I think I may be lacking in experience is actually hands on experience running an RV Park.Here's my question - Imagine yourself as a potential investor, would you want your RV Park Investment Fund Manager to have experience in also running parks or is that getting "too into the weeds" for what an investor would want to see?

Based on things she said to us in her last days, I believe my mom's wish for me and my siblings is to create generational wealth or start family businesses—which will be, in a way, her gift to the grandkids she will never get to meet.Well, my husband is pretty against the fixing/flipping/renting game, citing our inexperience and the risk involved.

After discovering some severe plumbing issues, replacing a roof, and more, we racked up around 35K in rehab costs (a good mix of using bad contractors and inexperience in evaluating the condition in our preliminary walk through).Final clean up was a couple more thousand and landed us right around 80K in cost.

I hadn’t thought about it like that (shows my inexperience).Regarding the utilities, it’s a mish-mosh here.
