Afternoon everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had this experience before and/or if it was allowed. Have anyone worked with General Contractors that will do a walk through with you (investors) before purchasing a property and possibly give you an estimate on the rehab? Thank you so much for everyone that is willing to help. -Jose M

It is certainly allowed. I would do this no charge for long term customers only. A new client requesting this would pay $100+ hr for the site time and some rough verbal numbers. A written estimate with accurate numbers is NC for someone I know for sure will use me for the work, other wise $100 hr....a proper estimate with exact number would take about 10 hrs.

Investors are notoriously cheap, always on tight budgets, running out of money, in a hurry, can't make up their minds. etc. Nightmare clients for a GC.
