Had some very disappointing hard knocks in my real estate endeavors, but I feel real estate is in my blood!

@Wayne Brooks I second that one Wayne.. anyone who is in this bizz that does not check lien status within a day or so of tying up a property is just going to run into this.I luckily I learned this about 2 months into my sales career way back in the dark ages.. and boy was I disappointed.. from then on when taking a listing or buying something first thing is check title mtgs liens ..

The Lansing market is 100% different from Detroit and you won't be disappointed....even though Josh trashes Detroit all the time   Michigan has made a turn around with Rick Snyder as our governor.  

I am disappointed, but I will keep trying - I am determined to find a great first deal!

There is so much good with this city and the list of major employers (FedEx, AutoZone, St Jude, etc.) does not disappoint.

It can be done - it is done for out of town investors every day - but it is also very challenging and if the stat were kept and accurate, I believe it would show that a majority of investors who expect these to perform at their highest level are disappointed.

I was disappointed, but tried not to act that way.
