7 Stunning Qualities That Make Memphis One of a Kind
7 Stunning Qualities That Make Memphis One of a Kind....
It is no secret that the owner of a company called Memphis Invest would love the city, but Memphis also bears the brunt of its fair share of knocks. You can find good and bad in any city, but this is a list of a few things that we find particularly awesome about the city!
There are plenty of bad things about every city and our city has its' share of crap to fix. But it is a fantastic city to live in and CAN BE a great city to invest in.

Chris, I have lived here all my life and have come to the conclusion the only ones that knock Memphis or those that either don't really do anything but go to work and return home or have failed in one way or another and want to blame the city. As a family, we always have something to do: Levit Shell, Zoo, Children's Museum, Redbirds, Tigers, Grizzlies, Bass Pro, Peabody, Shelby Farms, Botanic Gardens and all the fall festivals, Memphis in May, not to mention the community/school we are in. For date night, there is so much to do: Overton Square, Cooper-Young, downtime dining scene (Flight is our favorite), Orpheum, Grizzlies, concerts, not to mention the dining scene, especially what has popped up on Brookhaven Circle. The development of the Pyramid into Bass Pro, development of Overton Square and Crosstown is a game changer for that area. There have been distinct periods that I recall where Memphis was booming: 1. Peabody Place development that redeveloped the area just before South Main with shopping, entertainment and dining. 2. Building of Fed Ex Forum and now 3. all the development around the city, including the expansion and relocation of several major name businesses you mentioned in your blog.
The geography of the city is not only great for the logistics business here, but there are also so many great weekend trips within a short drive of here: New Orleans, St. Louis, Nashville, Little Rock, Pickwick, Heber or whatever your favorite lake spot is and East TN. Not to mention a one day trip to Oxford, MS in the fall for a game in the grove and dining in the square afterwards.
Something else that has amazed me is all the custom building and home renovations from Highland to 240 through the White Station / Walnut Grove corridor. I can't recall a time where the economy in Memphis was better.
The only bad thing I can say is my complete disdain of Delta Airlines. But at least some other Airlines are coming to town and that will improve once the economic impact of these business relocations & expansions are felt.
