Here is how they are doing it:They look through the public records to find non-owner occupantsUsing skip trace or entity reporting information they find a good contact (i.e. your phone number)They hire a virtual agent (usually someone in Asia) to call you using a scriptAll of this costs them next to nothing to do, so unfortunately, is likely to continue.

In Asia or Chinese culture, people do care a lot to live in a new house rather than a SECOND HAND house; in other words, the 2nd hand will depreciate a lot like a car once people lived in for awhile.
