Dear landlords,i really need your opinion on this one. there are some agencies here in Philadelphia ( and i assume in other states, as well) that help low-income/section 8 tenants come up with a security deposit. i heard mixed opinions about those agencies, some say it's very hard to prove damages to these agencies, in case one wants to retain the security deposit or portion of it.please, share your experiences, thoughts and opinions.thank you all in advance

Just remember for next time if someone "cleans gutters" off of Groupon does not mean they can do contracting work.You need to see body of work with doing back splashes, other jobs repairing beams etc.Mike Holmes mentions it's one of the number one mistakes consumers make to think a deck guy can do a bathroom, or a kitchen guy can do a retaining wall etc.

Most companies will ask for some form of small retainer per unit to allow to cover any damages or repairs that need to be made.
