Found an awesome Whirlpool energy star washer for $412+sales tax (after local utility rebate) at Lowes.Called one repair facility - they quoted me $99 for visit plus parts.

So far I've found Speed Queen to be the best, and Whirlpool not far behind.

Whirlpool an Fridgidaire stacks are both good but the whirlpool is more structurally solid.Parts for the stacksets are readily available and reasonable.

I have no affiliation with the big orange retailer and I often DIY things like dishwasher installation but I went to pick up a replacement for a broken unit at one of my rental homes and found a sale going on for the dishwasher (a decent whirlpool) for $348 and the delivery and install is just $49 right now.

If I'm buying applicances for my rental, such as washer and dryer, I only buy Whirlpool, why, cause the guy who fixes them told me they last the longest from the other brand, I take his word for it cause thats what he does for a living.

Whirlpool is the biggest supplier of appliances and are predicting an inventory shortage for atleast 2 quarters.

Here's what I picked up:The fridge is a Whirlpool Gold about 8 months old.

@Stephen S.HomeDepot.com has an Amana dishwasher (made by Whirlpool) for $299 and it is Energy Star qualified.
