Incredible Craigslist Finds

Here's a picture of my latest finds I put into action in one of my rentals. I wanted to upgrade the appliances to Stainless Steel however I didn't want to spend a lot of money and purchase new ones. My rentals are all close to trains that quickly whisk the renters into NYC. I had white appliances and wanted my kitchens to stand out against other rentals in my area so I started hunting on CL. Here's what I picked up:

The fridge is a Whirlpool Gold about 8 months old. People were moving and had to get rid of it. Price $400. The range and dishwasher were my best purchase. The range is a DCS five burner. It was about $4000 new. I picked up that and the barely used Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher for $500. Above the range is a GE Advantium high speed convection oven/microwave. It was installed and never used. I think it was about $1400 new. Mine for $300. All in all I spent $1200 on the new appliances plus my time to go pick them up. Then I turned around and sold my old appliance for $500 bringing the upgrade to only $700. Please share some of your great finds on Craigslist!

For anyone looking for big ticket items that doesn't live in a large metropolitan area there are several sites that will search multiple craigslist cities at once. I use searchtempest. I'm willing to drive an hour or 2 if the deal is good enough. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case it helps anyone.
