After having several discussions with other swappers, I realized that many of them are using 2nd homes, or vacation homes for additional benefits.My question for the BP community is whether there is an investment strategy anyone has used in this arena, or is it really just for recreational use of a vacation home?

And now that I've learned more about real estate investing, I've realized that when I add the HOA ($430), property tax ($300), insurance ($50) and property management ($70), with rents around $1350, the best case scenario is a property that cash flows $500/mo after 20 more years of losing money on the property when the property is free and clear.

After watching some online-course video clips at BP, I realized learning from a big map is the best start for me to learn something brand new, rather than digging holes on every single aspect.I'm glad that I've found BiggerPockets, a great platform and opportunity for RE investors from all over the world to share, learn, and network online, especially someone new in the industry like me who is shy and doesn't feel comfortable to actively approach "strangers" in reality due to the personality.If there's anybody here from Canada as well, I will be more than happy to connect with you.

My mistake, I just realized that the C-corp becomes the investor once a ROBS arrangement is funded, not the 401(k).
