Hello, I'm a REI novice from BC, Canada.
Hi everyone,
My name is Jike, a full-time retail employee and a new real estate investor from BC, Canada.
I've been taking the RichDad Education Program since last fall and have been thrilled to learn everything about real estate through attending seminars/webinars/clubs, reading books, and meeting and speaking with like-minded investors and professionals. However, I'm still confused and unconfident.
Real estate is completely new to me and at this moment I'm still training my brain to think like a professional investor before I take my first step of doing some small professional deals in action, although I've done some RE investments personally and I've been told by many people, "just take actions first and learn from mistakes." However, I'm more buying from "Learn the rules first before playing the game."
A couple of days ago, I saw a blog post at BiggerPockets.com by coincidence and signed up the membership for curiosity - maybe because I haven't seen any Canada-based online forums designed for RE investors yet. After watching some online-course video clips at BP, I realized learning from a big map is the best start for me to learn something brand new, rather than digging holes on every single aspect.
I'm glad that I've found BiggerPockets, a great platform and opportunity for RE investors from all over the world to share, learn, and network online, especially someone new in the industry like me who is shy and doesn't feel comfortable to actively approach "strangers" in reality due to the personality.
If there's anybody here from Canada as well, I will be more than happy to connect with you. Thanks.
Happy sharing and learning! :)
