Yeah, I did a lot of my contracts long distance in Santa Clara, where applicants were relocating for a job or coming for school.

When I was managing a building in Silicon Valley (Santa Clara, CA), I always got a big response to any ad because of the location. 

The owner I worked for in CA just put them all in his operating account, which is legal in CA - at least in Santa Clara, CA.
