Anyone can cook but that doesn’t make them a gourmet chief (or even a fry cook) and unless they have put thousands of hours into of effective relevant work and have a good sense of taste and understand what others want then they will not be able to maximize the results.

I had a spot under my deck that they kept nesting, so I put up chicken wire to block the area.

They're currently paying a little less than market, but their lease allowed all sorts of things that we would not re-up (chickens, trailers and cars in driveways etc).For the upstairs, we are targeting, I think conservatively, $2k/month which is the high end of the market. 

It is a 3 year old, not a monster (I mean as far as I know) so as someone said a small piece of chain link or even chicken coop wire zip tied will solve the issue.  

Also agreed with @Mark Fries you can try a DP1 policy.

It appears to also be the only vehicle access to their livestock paddock and chicken coop.
