The air conditioner compressor needed a $7 part and it took about 15 minutes to install and my worker and I replaced all the baseboards in less than 1 hour because we are lightning fast workers.

Seems high but i'm sure that 10K is more than just the fan, compressor, handler etc.

If you get serious a compressor and nailers are very handy.

They will take it on compressors, toolboxes, most tools, etc.

For the trim, you will need a miter saw, and will probably want a compressor and finish nailer. 

To increase the life of the compressor, the underside of the refer should be cleaned out on a regular basis.

Refer is one of most neglected appliances and overheating of compressor significantly reduces its life expectancy.
