Also, are you trying to avoid one with an ice maker--potential here for additional maintenance if any issues arise.I've had Whirlpool, Samsung, Frigidaire in properties without any issues.Make sure you're aware of what the manufacturer warranty covers things such as parts, labor, and compressor.  

This is my first time and I'm buying a fixer upper that needs a new compressor, roof and a total kitchen remodel.

Whoever actually went to the house claimed to have found a short at the compressor and added 6lbs of freon.Latchel is probably fine if they only triage to our previously vetted contractors, but if "LUGGHOME" is their version of a "preferred contractor", I am out.

First one was most expensive, needed new air compressor, new stain, and all new furniture, ~$15k (1BR + loft).  

You can easily unclog a faucet, and even showers can be unclogged using an air compressor.

They claimed the compressor was overworking, used an outdated refrigerant that’s no longer available, the indoor coil had a cracked pan, and the system was beyond repair.

Aloha,While associated fans may be multi-speed, the actual "cooling" mechanism- compressor, evaporator, condenser, coolant lines and controls, are not.

Doesn't state the size of the compressor

It needed a new compressor which would've cost me $4800 vs $6600 for new AC, obtained multiple bids for both).So I had the AC installer come take a look.
