As a general response, try an easy one for starters.

I agree with the recommendation of single family home versus duplex, especially with the average high cost of "starter" multi family properties in the greater Seattle region. 

Any thoughts on going for a regular traditional buy, or foreclosure buy for starters in the business?  

Maybe, for starters, you can target a 4-Plex or small apartment complex near one of the University Hotspots in Gainsville, Tampa or Tallahassee?

If anyone knows of some realistic and helpful starter reads that can help me start moving toward building wealth and allowing me to support my parents as they grow older, I would greatly appreciate it.Hope to get to know some of you better,Gideon
