ALWAYS make sure your LVT has a FINISH over the wearlayer of Alunminum Oxide or Ceramic Bead for scratching resistantance; nothing is bullet proof but it helps tremendously.

Do you choose ceramic or porcelain?

I've done the tub refinishing in several apartments,, usually warranty is 1 year.. you can expect to refinish again in 5 years if it gets heavy use.I've paid about 360 a tub. and is done in one day for 1 tub.Really strong odor..They also do the ceramic tile surround for about 200 more. which turned out SUPER. 

Granite, shaker cab, ceramic tile.

As you can see ugly teal 4" ceramic wall tiles, white 16"X16" floor tiles,  white toilet, pedestal sink and cast iron tub.I have pulled the sink off the wall in order to do some plumbing and electrical repairs. 

I was going to do ceramic tile in the bathroom, but stumbled across the new groutable LVT tiles at Lowes (peel and stick but much thicker than the previous versions). 

So, I decided that I liked it enough to put some money in the deal as well.Some of the repairs we made:Ripped out nasty carpet and installed new laminateRipped out sheet vinyl and installed new ceramic tileNew toilets and hardware in bathroomsInstalled new privacy fence where neededPainted entire interiorReplaced all baseboardsCleaned up flower beds and put pine straw inCut  down tree in back yard that was damaging the old fenceHad house and all concrete soft washedAdded CO monitorsLots and lots of cleaning...  

If you're not going to do anything else to the kitchen, I'd vote a really nice light beige ceramic tile!        

I looked it up and it looks great but I think I'd rather go ahead and replace this nasty carpet with ceramic tile to match the rest of the house (as closely as I can).

There is a spray on ceramic coating that can be used on the outside.
