You can sometimes get worthwhile rentals in Murray Hill as well but it's getting tougher. 

I thanked him for his time, told him I didn't think we'd be able to make a deal, and offered to set him up with my realtor if he wants to list it.Overall this was still very worthwhile.

I advised him because the extent of work it didn't seem worth while.

I've been on Meetup.com to see if there was anything worth while but not having any experience, can't afford a mentorship at this present time, I'd like to cut through the BS and get down to really starting my business off right by surrounding myself with successful people who do this day-in and day-out.

Many of them have never even stepped foot into their properties.It's certainly worthwhile, even if you just pick up a few units initially.

I would say to make all the course costs, ongoing fees and splits with your broker, and the time commitment worthwhile you would need to make being an agent your full time job, rather than just getting a deal on properties you buy and sell (and the odd friend and family commission).

@Darren Sager Thank you for the advice, I just feel that everything is so expensive in nyc and it's hard to find something worthwhile.

Just the possibility that the market gets back there along with the cashflow makes these a worthwhile investment for me.

Its not easy to actually get any money but with $10K on the line, it would be worth while.
