Well the company would only hand out 3 to 5 leads a week and you better get your sales on those and of course the top producers got the hot leads. ( think the movie Glenn Garry Glen Ross a must see for most aspiring RE folks) any way my dad save a few dollars and bought a printing press ... said printing press was in our one car garage of our apartment.. guess who ran said printing press after school at 8 years old.Then guess how those direct mail pieces got to the houses..

Well he did not like getting  3 company leads a week that were old and tired ( Jack Lemmon)  So what did he do he went and bought a printing press. and what did I do after school .

@Michael Quarles  OH brings back memories... my dad started in RE in 1965 in CA.. working for boise cascade... not many will recall they were heavy in the land business.well he got tied of getting his 3 leads a week. and he bought a printing press put it in our garage and when I got home from school my job was to print 5k door hangers after school all week.. then on Sat and Sun he grabbed me and my buddies and for 1 cent a peice we went to the target neighborhoods and passed paper... 

I think it's a great way to get into Real Estate (for many reasons).Whether you're just starting out (like I am) or have been Wholesaling for a while, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better mentor than Tom Krol.
