Obviously i don't know your situation, but i assume any financing option they offer would come with a high interest rate or other unfavorable terms, so not sure if it would have made a difference in the big scheme of things.

That being said, you might want to charge a higher rate for the renter having the privilege of terminating the lease in the middle of the winter or other unfavorable seasons where vacancy is higher. tenants like having options, so maybe you can consider presenting them $XXXX at 12 month lease, or XXXX plus $50-$100 for a month to month option.

Read between the lines on that one.I would suspect that if you got pre-approved with a VA lender....you would be very motivated to find a place, and if you also found a worthy tenant to take your place at the place you are renting now....I mean a worthy tenant, not just anyone....then most judges would look VERY favorably on you and unfavorably on a California Landlord that won't let a veteran....ESPECIALLY IN THE SAN DIEGO AREA that is trying to work this out with his landlord.

This doesn't really make sense though because the lending rate and terms will be too high unfavorable in my opinion.

There is a lot of money floating around and I think that is driving these outrageous valuations adding in the unfavorable landlord tenant laws and I don’t see many opportunities in the area for the time being.
