@Justin Evola

I've recently purchased a home and can tell you, work on your credit first if you plan to put your name on any kind of mortgage as the lender will review both you and your wife's credit profiles. Unless she has the income to qualify by herself, you're going to have to chip in with decent credit on your end as well.

In terms of getting started, just start watching the podcasts and browsing the forums and reading books. Education is key to getting off to a good start and there is no substitute for being educated and aware of all of the moving parts that go into a real estate transaction.
