I would reject them unless they could provide a very good reason.Applicants usually try to hide a former address because they don't want you to discover their lease violations, unpaid rent, eviction, or other problems.

As a seller, frankly, I think this a dumb way to go because you are never going to get the best offer if everyone is concerned about what you are hiding. 

Most hard money lenders try and hide fees on top of the points they charge, so make sure to do your research on them and ask alot of questions about ALL costs. 

Your best bet is to not try to game the system or hide anything from a lender.  

If the person won't fill out the application, they are hiding something.

I'm guessing there's probably a title issue hiding in the woodwork.  

You can't flip a lot of properties and rely on a business plan to "hide" your from the wrath of the IRS.
