Right now it's easy for anyone to find out contact information, find a listing realtor, make all of those inquiries through Zillow, and toss out a verbal offer. 

@Shamsul Chowdhury inquiries will have a minimal impact on your credit score assuming your revolving debt (credit cards, HELOCs,store charge cards) is low.

Hi Matt,After ten years of landlording, I've learned that it's not necessary for a landlord to collect a SSN for screening, because you can still get full credit reports and background checks through soft inquiry companies (like Cozy, or even every credit bureau provides their own online tool that helps landlords order reports without SSN).

The problem is that the inquiries on my credit have drastically reduced my credit score over the last 30 days.

Usually, my process is to respond to their initial inquiries which come in from Zillow or Craiglist with a standard set of screening questions, about a dozen, which are qualifiers that allow me to rule out those with not enough income, smokers, or types of pets.

Only the inquiry shows up on the report as long as no default exists.

I got several inquiries for a regular 12 month lease unfurnished even at the 2k price so Im thinking of forgoing the Mid Term Market and just going back to the 12 month unfurnished lease.   

@Angie Shires from my inquiries with other service members I’ve heard There is a cap on utilizing a VA Lon (was 427k when we first used it/now it’s 600 and some change.
