Hello!

Im new to the game with a couple questions regarding Military benefits in regards to real estate investment. I have done my homework on the VA Home Loan, and understand I can only use it if I where living on the property. This rises an issue because it only allows me to use my VA Home Loan once, and the name of the game is acquire assestS.

Does anyone know of other military benefits that can be used in real estate investment, or tax benefits.  It is safe to assume my knowledge is very limited.

Thanks for your time and consideration,

Kyle

Hey @Kyle Keller welcome to BP! James is right, a huge benefit of the VA loan is that you can buy a property between 1-4 units. Live in one, rent out the others. I wrote a blog post about the VA loan a few months back with some of this information.

There are actually a number of different military benefits that can be used with regard to real estate. Navy Federal Credit Union has some great rates, the Small Business Association offers military business loans, and the Veterans Association offers free business advice. I'm working on a post right now that will list more of this stuff in detail. Feel free to send me a message if there is anything I can do to help. Best of luck.
