I have had such experience multiple times that put an inquiry and turned out that the home had got sold long back but Zillow still shows it as available

They respond to my initial inquiry but then never follow up with the forms I need to get started!

Some counties/cities have “pending” liens such as for code violations that are Not recorded but can be found with the proper letters of inquiry to the proper departments....costs probably a couple hundred more for this type of title search.
