Just looking at homes and rentals in the Niceville area (about 20 minutes north of Destin), you can find townhomes and whatnot for a significant discount compared to Destin.

Someone did some math and breathed life into 200k number and it has lived on this thread.2: I ALSO said your FI needs to be less than your income (my FI is much less) especially if you factor in taxes and what not.3: If someone makes 200k they don't need FI of 200k but asking them to shoot for 60K just because everyone should be able to live on 60k is ridiculous.4: I stand my my answer to the OP.
