Hey everyone!

New to BP and to REI in general. Took a local seminar, which I now see was a giant mistake in terms of what I paid for it and almost got sucked into paying more :( Glad to have found this site and the community around it!

For the time being, I'm still trying to figure out how to get a solid start. I'm thinking that meeting up with someone established in the REI world and seeking to understand deals in motion will help me wrap my brain around the A-Z of how deals get worked. Seems to only be so much book/web learning you can do without getting involved somehow.

What were your starting experiences like? Did you start with a local mentor, or just go after the deals with no help? Good/bad stories welcome, I'm all ears!

Cheers,

Mitch
