I find that the qualities that make her good at this are being nonthreatening intellectually, focusing on primary motivations, a desire for relationship building, and a palpable excitement over the product/opportunity.I generate the leads, source and structure the deals, prepare the presentation materials, design the marketing strategy, sometimes attend presentations to answer technical questions, but she is primary point of contact for the client.It's my company, but her paychecks are bigger than mine--even when all she does on a deal is make a few phone calls.
