It can mean finding a needle in the haystack to-good-to-be-true listing where the numbers do pencil, that maybe has an inexperienced agent or seller or both, pouncing on it aggressively maybe site unseen and getting it under contract before anyone else gets a chance to compete.

Unlike with the many weed stores, this is not whack-a-mole or needle in a haystack because each OTA has to report and is financially liable.Booking.com and VRBO made it clear they weren't interested in fighting or getting fines and insisted hosts register or delist.Airbnb has instituted hosts, and now people are seeing a dialogue saying they must enter a registration number to continue (currently it has an option to "skip for now").

I would say they are the needle in the haystack and most wholesalers a) don't know what they are doing and b) would tell you anything to get you to buy the house.That being said, if it were me, I would feel comfortable NOT getting an inspection, but I have done enough flips and toured enough houses to recognize the major issues.
