I would even consider taking listing photos with your furniture and set up as a home if you weren't already planning on doing so. 

So when I moved out, I kept the furniture -- including a huge wall-mounted TV -- and rented it out on Airbnb full-time.

I've seen some beautiful outdoor paths & patios done this way etc, fill in the gaps with sand or concrete.You might also donate it to a habitat for humanity store (call and ask if they'll take it first) where they might get it in front of the right set of eyes. they might give you a tax donation receipt?

Please share recommendations on where to buy basic furniture (sofa, chair, end tables, coffee tables, dressers for bedrooms,etc) that will last through the years but also be reasonable. 

I see similar listings up for $100-$180/night.I am preparing to get the property ready with about $3k in furniture, dishes, linens, and everything else to make it ready.

My longer term planning is 100% move to Kona or Hilo.If you want to know good furniture store then I can refer as well.

Some of the big names are Lamar, Clear Channel Outdoor, Outfront Media, Adams Outdoor.

And don't forget to equip your outdoor space if you have one because that is a major draw.
