@Mike Schorah maybe I am misunderstanding something, but it sounds like you want to buy a property with $0 down payment.

Either the agent's own misunderstanding or from the agent's unclear explanation to their clients.

Perhaps they are under the misunderstanding you can simply plug in a dryer in any wall outlet?

Combined with a brokerage account such as one from Etrade, they have access to a wide range of investment options although sometimes representatives at brokerage firms misunderstand the flexibility of these plans. 

Correct me if I misunderstand anything...Your title says "broke" so I'm assuming you don't have a lot of cash to start with. 

For your final SOW, be as detailed as possible.....it'll save a lot of misunderstandings down the road...
