@Brandon Croucier - thanks for the response. what source do you like for background checks?

I come from a background of buying dental offices, and if you don't have 3 years income to compare you cant' really tell how things are going for that particular office.

But my other mentee is having a really, really ,REALLY tough time, and I want to help him out.Here’s some background : He’s been trying to get into real estate for 6 1/2 years.

I’m sort of new myself, I’m working on transitioning from being in the background-ish, as well as working a different area.

You should have criteria for income, background, credit etc. 2.

Plus I use Hemlane for applications, background checks, and payments.

Background: I offered on a condo (still a newbie to investing myself, although this would make my third STR and second in one market), and the same day a second offer came in, higher.

Background and Current SituationI currently own a home in Clovis, CA with $472k owed on a $487k mortgage.

The only thing that would be different is that Proper covers revenue loss + all the bells and whistles  I feel I don't need for 2x the cost - squatters/bed bugs.Any input on this from more experienced STR investors or others with insurance backgrounds please?

Not everyone is a professional investor or contractor background.
