No two ways around this, central planners (the fed) have thrown us under the bus, with misguided policy's attempting to keep the real, free market economy from operating as it should. 

I am a financial planner with a client who is having a bad experience with a Section 8 property manager in Chicago.

I was a financial planner and my thought for securing my retirement was in the stock market, so I was happy that getting my first duplex to offset living expenses for my son made sense but beyond that, I had no other use for investment real estate.  

Thought about working with a financial planner to help consolidate all my IRAs and investment accounts,  rollover some retirement funds into a ROTH IRA so I can utilize it in the future for investment and be prepared for life after COVID.

That is in my opinion some of the worst advice I see given when people say 'go ask the City'...Personally I would look at the code yourself, then if you think you are right you ask the planner questions like 'this is my research, would you agree I can build an 8 unit building?"

Anyone know of a *REALLY GOOD* Real Estate accountant either in the Lynchburg area, or good with VA taxes, RE Investing, and can do "virtual" ?  We're just getting started in RE Investing, but it seems like we never ...
