How about the Craigslist rental property scams, where the scammer from some remote location takes the photos from some other ad or property and creates an ad with an offered price way below market but requiring funds to be sent via Western Union?

Use that time to get your inspection, double and triple check your numbers and maybe even float an ad or two on Craigslist for rent to see if their is interest in your areaPersonally, I buy  HUD homes that may be as far away 6-7 hours from my house.
