(I broke my neck, and got multiple surgeries going wrong, but that's not the reason behind this post.)However, i'm trying to use that money investing in real estate, where i can get a profit.What range of houses/apartments should i be looking for, as in where should i start with investing? 

Additionally, I had to pay for a minor out-patient surgery this last year.

Working in healthcare (surgery) has been not good for my health, and it has caused me to not have time with my child as I would like.

Her husband has had 4 back surgeries in a row and hasn't been able to work.

My husband compares it to an old lady who looks young because of plastic surgery. 

She had cancer surgery recently so I'm glad I could make it happen for her instead of just putting it off because we're all busy and then regretting it after she's gone.
