I love the Knoxville area and am becoming acquainted with the various neighborhoods.I am constantly viewing properties and I am still acquiring the ability to say "that is a great deal" or vice versa when analyzing a potential purchase.

For those in the Knoxville'ish areas, just wanted to share my experiences about the Knoxville REIA and recommend any current investors or aspiring investors in the East TN areas (Knox/Sevier/Blount/Jefferson/Anderson) who are serious about getting into REI to attend a meeting if you have not already.

If you had to use an FHA loan with 3.5% down, you should be able to get something pretty decent in Knoxville and only have to come up with a couple of grand out of pocket (which you could borrow from a friend/family or even get Down Payment assistance for.)
