People read a newspaper article and suddenly they are short term rental crazy want to scale up as soon as possible know 10% of what matters read some forums and are suddenly convinced they are in the right field to get rich. at some point in the not-too-distant future, a reckoning is coming in the short term rental space that will be breathtaking.

I framed houses in the distant past but have no investing experience with building. 

If it is dirty it will look old and they could assume it will need a new one in the not so distant future

I can't picture Revere being affordable unless you're a big money professional in the not so distant future.

@Jakob Harshman I would also recommend that you read David Greene's book on long distant real estate investing! 

I also think that Keller is better than Wylie and some of the other distant burbs.

So, if you find a highly competent person that you like, it's OKAY if they are located in a distant office as long as there are other offices you can pop into nearby to drop off earnest money, and so forth.
