The lender was spooked by this, so trying to line up a new lender...any recommendations on how to navigate with existing lender or lenders in the area who know how to deal with this?

Because this was blatant fraud, we highly doubted the contractor would be spooked enough to pay up.

there's no such thing as being seccionist or legal or constitution ,etc...just look to what happen to ukraine,etc.... ask why any intellectual people from the greatest nation on earth wanna do that just because of silly political differences, is beyond me

Given how absolutely bonkers the world is now*, having ready money on the sidelines isn’t a bad thing imo :) *ohh, just Covid remnants, Ukraine war potential spillover, interest rate hikes, high national debt, climate change effects, red-blue state tensions, market high real estate, stock market uncertainty.  

As advised new construction is a whole new game and that's in a normal economy, you can't imagine the stress I am feeling with all the uncertainty of rising rate hikes, Ukraine, inflation, the jobs market, etc etc.

Our realtor had buyers for it who got spooked by the current situation and backed out.

I wasn't opposed to listing if I couldn't find an off-market buyer.I wanted to avoid spooking my tenants (triplex) with an on-market listing.

I didn’t want to do something that spooks the tenants like putting up cameras and doing inspection out of nowhere, because when someone finds out they’re being watched, then they will hide the evidence.
