Corners are Expensive, the cheapest is a square or rectangle, every outside or inside corner on the exterior complicates foundation, roof systems adds cost to siding, sofit and fascia, gutters, as well as interior, like drywall, trim, ect. 

It was surprisingly cheap and we had the roof set in less than a day.Once we had a roof in place and windows were installed we could start to close up sofits and install exterior trim and siding.

Would my subcontractor be covered for his employees if he paints exterior trim on my Maryland property but his workers comp is effective only in VA?

As of today, we have merely purchased the home and refreshed the interior with new paint, trim, and fixtures. 

Pay them appropriately, and keep it trim otherwise.

And, the base trim always looks too bulky.

You can almost guarantee that you will have to touch up on paint and trim pretty much after every tenant.

I put in about $6K for new flooring and trim, I painted it and it sold within a few weeks. 

In the deal I am working on I would act as the general as well as provide some of the labor that I am competent in such as dirt work, landscaping, cabinets and trim.
