I will buy a cheap car (I don't have one after I totaled mine) and reinvest the remaining money into one rental, more marketing, and earnest money to lock up other similar deals already on my radar that I can flip for a profit.

@David Tankersley, I agree, "it makes as little sense as leasing a car".ie. don't do it (unless you KNOW who will take you out of it, giving you profit)!

Cary, good point on the leveling out, and I tend to agree with your guess In that regard (I also have no data though).With respect to older units I'd just say that this is the "normal" way of things: they only become "old" if they are not updated.
