A door of opportunity opened up to me today when browsing this website/app.

Hello all,First time posting to the forums after browsing around for awhile and listening to the podcast.

I have been browsing tons of different resources during the last few days.

Would this property even be one you would consider (I haven't seen it yet I was just browsing realtor.com).

There are many times when a new listing has no picture, but the old listing on Zillow has the old pictures.When it comes to getting an estimate, in addition to visiting the property, getting an idea on property conditions, age, deferred maintenance etc...Zillow also give you a map, where you can browse nearby properties sold recently which I found better than a list.

Reading recommended books, listening to RE podcast, and browsing these forums is a good place to start.

I have not interfaced with any wholesalers here directly either yet but I can recommend looking at some other options of REO, Foreclosure, pre-forclosures, craigslist, facebook (groups for REI people).

I recently started to browse BP and i have got to say, this is the best community on the Internet (shout out to Brandon Turner).

Quite the "lurker" type at first, similar to the way I use Facebook..heh heh, After listening to a few pod casts and browsing through the forums I finally worked up the nerve to pull the trigger on my first rehab & hold property, thank you everyone at Bigger Pockets for the giving the confidence to take the plunge!
