Ceramic would be better, but I can't imagine a structure made out of ceramic unless have very specific specs for something very important, not a typical property foundation.

Replaced all old carpets with wood flooring, replaced the vinyl in bathrooms with ceramic tile and updated the faucets; repainted entire unit; replace all kitchen appliances which were very old and rusted.

If you still want to do ceramic tile, you may try planing and sanding subfloor as level as possible, screwing the subfloor to the joists, then thinset and screw down 1/2" cement board, then water proof membrane, then tile.

I need :1) New flooring (probably a ceramic tile) with sub flooring2) New vanity and sink3) Mirror and some paintI've called a few places and the quotes I'm getting to contract this work out seems on the high side but I have never done a rehab or rénovations.
