Do you know which CRE sector has been the best performer and which do you think will be the best going forward?

I am interested in investing in the US student housing sector, and I am hoping that you might direct me to sources of information and deal comparables for JV equity investments, deal structures and target IRRsWould you be able to guide me?

With the drastic increase in multi-family investment at UIUC over the past couple years I would stay away from the high-end college rental market (greater than $500/room) and focus on one of the many other sectors.  

I've come to BP in hopes of expanding my knowledge in the house flipping sector,  network, find a mentor in that space, and eventually build a self sustaining business.

My options are to take courses on weekends or online and study at my leisure.

Over the past two weeks, I've probably listened to 30+ podcasts as I drive a good bit for work...Fast forward to today: Currently I work in sales for a global energy management company and focus on the commercial construction sector.

By analyzing metrics you can predict to a degree market movements within sectors.

I'm starting to look a lot more at the insurance money out there but I'm still learning as the Commercial Lending sector is new to me.Any advice or points in the right direction?

You can loan against most 401K's if it rolls into a private sector 401K (I admit I don't know the TSP very well).
